The other day in the practice taught by K Shihan, there is a practice in which one finger is grabbed instead of the wrist, and I practiced it in today's practice. Many of you may already know this method, but it is an interesting way to take the pressure off. When you apply a technique with force with only one finger, your finger is about to break, and your torso moves naturally except for your arm. Also, the Uke's fingers are the grip point, so the uke also relaxes somewhat. In other words, this technique is effective for both tori and uke. However, it is better to practice this technique only as a training method. If the uke has malicious intent, you may be injured.
